Twice Baked Potatoes
First Pre heat your oven to 400 degrees. Next wash your potatoes. Cover them evenly in shortening. I used Crisco. Generously sprinkle them with Sea Salt or Seasoning Salt.
Bake them in the oven for about 30-40 minutes. When you can stick a fork in the top and it comes out easily, without getting stuck they are done!

Cut each potato in half length wise. Next, scoop the insides of the potatoes out and add them to a bowl. Add your sourcream, and half of the cheese to the bowl. Add in the milk and garlic powder. Mix well! Mashing the mixture by hand.
Scoop your mixture back in to each potato half. Top with more shredded cheese, and bacon!

Turn your oven down to 325 degrees. Place the potatoes on a baking sheet and bake for another 15-20 minutes. Keep an eye on them, so that they don’t burn. They are ready when all of the cheese is completely melted!
Take them out of the oven and top them with chopped green onions! Serve them as is or top with an additional dollop of sourcream. These can even be frozen, before or after being baked for the second time!
