Most people that know me, know that I’m pretty much obsessed with smoothies. I love them. But, where I live there aren’t really many smoothie shops. I can’t walk to the corner & hit Jamba Juice or Smoothie King. Its a bummer to me, but the bright side is that I’m forced to stop being so lazy and make them myself. And this Pineapple Turmeric Green Goodness Smoothie is one of my favorites!
Ever since I’ve discovered how much I love coming up with my own smoothie concoctions…it’s like I have to make one every single morning (when I have time).
I love being able to sneak in some greens, but load it with fruits so it still tastes amazing. It keeps me full & gives me energy to get the day going!
One of my favorite things to add, in just about all of my smoothies is a spoonful of peanut butter or almond butter. It ups the energy factor for me. Plus, I love the depth it gives it, it’s so complimentary especially in this smoothie!
I’m also adding my favorite magic ingredient. Turmeric. I call it magic because of its amazing health benefits. Did you know that Turmeric can supposedly help in the fight against Alzheimer’s, Cancers, Fatigue, Arthritis and the complications related to them (Plus there are many more amazing benefits) Its a relative of ginger. To give you an idea of its taste, it’s bitter, but sweet. However, in this smoothie you aren’t really going to taste it!

In my opinion, the trick to a great smoothie is definitely the ice to liquid ratio. I like the consistency of mine to be right down the middle. Not too thick, but not too thin. Make sure the liquid line is about half an inch above the ice. To get your perfect consistency always start with less ice & add more as you go, if need be! Have fun exploring different combinations of fruit and veggies. Plus, check out some of my other favorites like: The Avocado Green Grape Smoothie
