Rosemary + Brown Sugar Baby Back Ribs

Ribs are one of my favorite foods. I love these Rosemary + Brown Sugar Baby Back Ribs. Because they’re sweet, savory, and super saucey. I cook them in the crock pot until they’re fall off the bone. I’m also adding in my special ingredient to prevent them from getting dry!

I always add a little Coca-Cola© to the crock pot, the carbonation helps keep it hydrated and enhance the tenderness!

Preparing The Ribs

Start with a full rack of ribs. First, cut them into thirds. They’ll fit into the crock pot better this way.

Next, you’ll want to flip them over and score  the backs. I like to make little x’s all over. That way you can carefully remove the membrane. Once, this is done the ribs will be more tender and they will cook faster.

Seasoning & Sauce

Turn your crock pot on low. Then, you can create the rub. In a small bowl combine the brown sugar, cumin, paprika, onion powder, chili powder, garlic powder, and rosemary. Mix it gently until all of the ingredients are evenly distributed. Now sprinkle straight over the tops of your ribs and rub it right in. Rubbing them, before adding them to the sauce helps add layers of flavor to the finished product.

At this time, you’ll also want to go ahead and prepare your sauce directly in the crock pot. Pour in your Bbq sauce, Cola, Teriyaki, & Liquid Smoke. Mix well, add the ribs right into the sauce. Place the lid on and get ready to let them cook for about 4-5 hours. Cook them until they hit an internal temperature of around 190° it helps melt the fats more, making them extra tender.
