Spiked Kiwi Lemonade

Heading into the summer months always reminds me how much I love Lemonade. There’s just something so refreshing about an ice cold glass of lemonade on a hot summer day. And today I’m throwing a little vodka in the mix with this Spiked Kiwi Lemonade .

I’m using vodka, lemonade, midori, fresh kiwis, and a kiwi simple syrup.

Let’s start by making the Kiwi Simple Syrup.

Kiwi Simple Syrup

This is something you can make beforehand and it will keep just fine in your fridge for a few days or in the freezer for a few months!

Place a small pot on the stove and add about 2 Cups of water. Cut the skin off of the kiwis, cut them in half, and place them into the water. Next, add 1 Cup of sugar to the water. Mix and heat bringing to a boil, then reduce the heat to low. Allow the simple syrup to simmer for about 15 minutes.

Finally, using a strainer with cheesecloth (you’ll need very small holes to keep the seeds out) strain the syrup separating the pulp/seeds from the liquid. Let simple syrup cool and keep in fridge when not using.

Spiked Kiwi Lemonade

First, fill your glass with ice. Add one ounce of Midori Melon Liquer. Next, add one and a half ounces of vodka. Add 2 Tbsp of the Kiwi Simple Syrup and fill with Lemonade. Garnish with Kiwi Slices or Diced Kiwi!
